The Clinical Hospital Product Manager is a subject matter expert in application systems that support client’s clinical or business functions. He/she is responsible for managing new application development and delivery to the client, as well as on-going maintenance per the client Service Level Agreement.


The Product Manager is responsible for the design, support and optimization delivery of product solutions, ensuring the end product meets the intended need of the client. He/she works closely with the team to manage product infrastructure, monitoring performance and processes, and gathering and implementing user requirements. He/she oversees the requests for new systems, processes, enhancements, or other opportunities and suggests alternatives. He/she determines the viability of integrating requests for changes with the complete list of customer requests. He/she provides outstanding client service and contributes to the organization’s mission of utilizing information technology to improve patient care.


The Product Manager will oversee Epic modules and third-party IT systems such as; Stork, ASAP, BCA/SRO, Rover, Device Integration, Centricity Perinatal System (CPN), and AS/OB-GYN Fetal archiving. He/she will maintain Epic certifications for product management and understands the effects of market trends on all available products from vendors in the marketplace.

  • Product Management – Responsible for the design and delivery of product solutions, ensuring that the end product meets the intended needs of the client. Work closely with other teams within the company in order to achieve this. Subject matter expert for the implementation of a new care management solution; provide input on product design and optimization; provide expert guidance to the team on care management solutions; manage product requests, review requirements and specifications, and work closely with technical teams and end-users to assure high quality. Meet with clients regularly and establishes priorities by working with the Client Executive and end-users.
    • Ensure that changes, modifications, and implementations do not affect product performance or other applications and systems.
    • Oversee the design of workflow for new systems.
    • Ensure systems are performing at satisfactory levels in order to maintain clients’ clinical and business processes.
  • Staff Management – Manage assigned resources; Demonstrate effective internal communication and task delegation while providing support and guidance; mentor and identify training needs for team members, ensuring professional development and superior technical expertise
  • Client/Stakeholder Management – Understand customer requirements and impact of system issues; meet with clients regularly and establishes priorities by working with clients and end-users; Works closely with the team to deliver high-quality customer support
  • Issue Management – Control and manage production system issues:  triage issues; conduct detailed impact analysis, root cause analysis, and downstream effects of modifications; implement code fixes, one-time scripts, and data cleanup.  Determine most effective way to operationalize fixes. Interface and work with other departments to identify and resolve issues regarding coordinated efforts to deliver client solutions. Allocate team resources to other departments as needed.
  • Project Management – Control and manage projects with an end result orientation, including all project phases/tasks as applicable to the project size; coordinate with project managers responsible for implementation as well as other product managers involved in multi-disciplinary efforts.



  • 2-3 years of experience managing others including employee selection, performance management, delegation, and motivating and rewarding others
  • Overall understanding of the application systems development lifecycle
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Through understanding of technical documentation and SDLC process
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and facilitation skills
  • Performs other related duties as required



  • Epic Certification is desired (ASAP/Stork Certification) but will consider other Epic Certifications
  • Knowledge of clinical area or business area to be supported
  • Epic go-live or upgrade experience
  • Extensive knowledge of the interdependencies of reporting, analytics, database management, and working with external data sources
  • Understanding of Project Management Principles
  • Understanding of HL7 Protocols
  • Working knowledge of any programming a plus
  • Medical Terminology, Clinical or Practice Management experience or system installation background a plus
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Expertise in Healthcare Business Processes




Bachelors Degree OR Related Work Experience
