Job Scope:

Do you like developing and launching new products and solutions for your customers? Corning is looking for a driven, creative, and resourceful professional to join the Liquid Handling business operations team. The product line manager (PLM) position will support the manual pipet tip and microcentrifuge tube (MCT) business. You will be responsible for driving top line revenue through collaboration with our business development and global commercial organization. You will be the business leader and decision point person across our support functions; including pricing, forecasting, marketing programs, and new product development. You will also work closely with our global manufacturing (locations in China, USA, and Mexico) and supply chain teams to improve our bottom line through cost reduction initiatives and long term strategic planning.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Compose your business team and lead monthly meetings; including P&L assessment
  • Engage with commercial to drive top line revenue with review of open opportunities, sales analysis, and account-based support
  • Support identification, business case analysis, voice of the customer, and commercial plan development for new product and private label opportunities
  • Collaborate with our channel organization for continued support of our strong distributor relationships; including tailored marketing programs focused on driving growth
  • Align with branding team strategy for brand placement regionally or globally
  • Facilitate the development and deployment of marketing communication plans
  • Communicate cross-functionally with internal manufacturing, pricing, forecasting, quality, customer service and supply chain teams to facilitate rapid support of customer needs
  • Collaborate closely and support manufacturing with regards to product specifications, claims, cost reduction initiatives, and capital planning Travel Requirements: 30-40% including international travel

Required Education and Experience:

  • BS Degree in Business or Sciences (Required); MBA (Desired)
  • 5+ years of business experience in product management, marketing, and/or sales (Required); experience in a commercial role within the Life Science Industry (Desired)
