Scope of Position (i.e. projects involved with and role within group):

• Work in the team on the development and introduction into production of new processes and products in the field of microfluidics and micro-components made out of glass and glass ceramics.

• Support engineering in the maintenance and improvement of current processes and products.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Conduct experiments under supervision, collect data, record and present results.

• Assist engineering with introduction of new products and transfer into production.

• Assist engineering in the development of new processes and the qualification of new tools.

• Set up, and test production metrology tools and manufacturing tools like laser bonders laser dicers and conventional dicers. • Organize material flow and processing of small, experimental batches.

• Conduct qualitative material inspection.

• Provide information that supports manufacturing operations, such as design, documentation, implementation and validation of equipment and process changes.

 

Education and Experience (minimum required for consideration)

• Associate’s degree in science/engineering or equivalent work experience.

• 3+ years of manufacturing experience.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment in the field of MEMS, or semiconductor process engineering.

• Ability to work in a fast-passed environment.

• Ability to work in a team and as an individual contributor

• Dexterity working with delicate parts and tools.

 

Desired Skills (These are skills that would be nice for candidates to possess)

• Experience in material processing using lasers.

• Experience in working in cleanrooms.

• Experience in semiconductor metrology.

• Experience in teaching operators.

 

Soft Skills (Communication/Team/Leadership)

• Good communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
