Scope of Position (i.e. projects involved with and role within group):

• Candidate will have responsibility across a wide variety of semiconductor / MEMs processes such as thin film deposition, wet etching, photolithography.

• Candidate will work with the engineering team to qualify new equipment, execute experiments, modify equipment and process.

• Candidate will be responsible for coordinating and executing experiments including equipment setup, change management, experiment tracking and data collection.


Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Perform experiments, data collection, analysis and documentation with minimal supervision.

• Work closely with process engineering to install and qualify new process equipment.

• Work closely with process, equipment and maintenance engineering to troubleshoot production issues.

• Create/update documentation for release to production including machine specifications; operating procedures and drawing packages

• Provide technical support and training to production personnel.

• Interface between production personnel and process engineer to ensure smooth operation of thin film deposition processes


Travel Requirements (please note if international): negligible Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: 40 plus hours to support 24 by 7 operation


Education and Experience (minimum required for consideration)

• >3 years equipment technician wafer fab experience or equivalent.

• Minimum 2 year degree electronics, industrial technology, equivalent military or similar technical training required


Required Skills (These are skills that candidates MUST possess)

• Good understanding of semiconductor manufacturing process tools, equipment and operations and the interrelationship of facility equipment & systems.

• Ability to spend majority of time inside a cleanroom environment.

• Basic understanding of cleanroom protocol and working with hazardous chemicals and proper safety.

• High level attention to detail

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Self-motivator; ability to work independently under general guidance and direction

• Ability to independently learn systems and processes associated with the role


Desired Skills (These are skills that would be nice for candidates to possess)

• SPC and DOE experience

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
