DLH Corp is actively seeking a PRN Pharmacist for our Chelmsford, Massachusetts facility that will be responsible for providing verification of mail order prescriptions for our nation's veterans.
$57.52 per hour
The PRN Pharmacist will be scheduled depending upon production needs, 16-40 hours per week, 1st shift (5:30am - 3:00pm)
Responsibilities
Pharmacist Responsibilities:
* Assess drug orders and cross match with medications presented at Checking Stations.
* Compound and dispense medications.
* Pre-verify medications loaded into highly specialized mechanical equipment.
* Perform Quality Assurance functions.
* Follow CMOP policies in order to meet VA and JC policy
Note any unusual doses, wrong drug, wrong strength, or drug mix up and report the information per CMOP policies
Qualifications
Pharmacist Qualifications:
* Candidates must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident of the US
* Must have a current, valid, and unencumbered Pharmacist license in the US
* Graduate of an American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) accredited school or university
* Minimum of one year (within the past two years) practical experience
* Have basic typing and PC computer skills
* Must be able to communicate, orally and in writing, effectively in the English language
* Be able to lift 30 pounds.
* Have the ability to stand or sit for long periods of time.
* Be able to meet all regular hours and overtime hours that are required by the facility.
* Must be able to pass background check and drug screening. NO felony convictions.
* Able to obtain VetPro certification, which is a credentialing system that is required of all VHA licensed, registered, and certified health care providers
