Description
Responsible for providing comprehensive patient centered pharmacy services for assigned areas. Assess and validates medication orders for appropriateness of therapy. Oversees the drug distribution assuring safety and timeliness. Supervises and guides pharmacy technicians. Participates in the collaborative management of patients including performance or validation of medication histories and reconciliation, execution of P&T approved pharmacy protocols and target drug programs. Responds to codes and provides drug information. Participates in performance improvement initiatives and the continuous readiness efforts to assure regulatory compliance. Participates in the education of patients, health care providers, residents, pharmacy students, and pharmacy technician students as assigned.

Additional Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree required. Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) preferred. Preferred Progressive pharmaceutical care experience (or) Pharmacy Residency. Each year of PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency counts for 3 years of experience.
