The Project Management Lead for the Integrated Product Information program is responsible for the overall project management function, providing leadership, coordination, and proactive risk mitigation to the program timeline. The roles serves as a conduit for communication between the business workstream leads, IT partners, system integrators, and software vendors. This individual will collaborate with the program management personnel from all business and IT stakeholders of the program, and will need to mentor and guide less experienced project managers allocated to the program.


The Integrated Product Information for Change Control program will deliver transformational change to Merck’s enterprise quality and operations functions; significantly enabled by information systems. The Project Management Lead will shepherd all phases of this initiative; from requirements development to design/build and then network-wide deployment.

Qualifications

Education: 

  • Bachelors degree in Business or Information Technology/Systems

Required: 

  • 15 years in project/program management; coordinating the work deliverables, schedule, and meeting governance for multiple work stream initiatives.  
  • Fluent in contemporary project management tools; work breakdown structure, change management & communication structures, kaizen events. 
  •  Significant experience with joint IT/business initiatives that focus on the deployment of enterprise applications and standard business practice. 
  •  The candidate must have 10+ years of experience in a regulated healthcare industry, either medical device or pharmaceutical.
Preferred:  

  • Experience with PLM (product life-cycle management) applications and data governance initiatives.
