Pharmacy Trainer - Hybrid - Remote / Onsite Position ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Ensure new hires feel welcomed, supported, and have clear expectations in their learning itineraries Within the guidelines of pharmacy regulations and with pharmacist oversite, conduct on-the-job training for new employees or employees being cross trained in a new area. Coordinate training activities with SME trainers for special skilled functions when the Pharmacy Trainer is not able to complete the required training to ensure compliance with overall training program Conduct training sessions with small to large groups of employees (as needed) Ensuring complete and accurate documentation of all aspects of an employees pharmacy training records Track, trend, and report variances in the employee training versatility matrix to the Pharmacist in Charge and Operations leadership; establish action plans to close gaps In partnership with the quality team, assess the instructional effectiveness of training on overall productivity KPIs Evaluate training effectiveness and provide timely feedback to learners and managers for newly hired personnel Participate in continuous improvement efforts and seek opportunities to improve training delivery and processes that result in desirable outcomes Collaborate with operations partners in scheduling & completing competency assessments Build positive relationships with Pharmacist in Charge, Operations leadership, Pharmacy Managers and Supervisors Majority of time will be spent performing the Pharmacy Trainer role, dedicated hours will be spent performing pharmacy and operational duties to ensure knowledge is current. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None although strong influencer/leader in the organization QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or GED Must be 18 years of age or older Have at least two (2) years of experience in the profession of pharmacy Exposure in Non-Sterile &/or Sterile and Non-Sterile Compounding environment Experience working in an environment with daily exposure to medication names and terminology CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Registered as a Pharmacy Technician and in good standing within the state of hire Nationally Certified Technician (CPhT via PTCB or ExCPT)) Preferred certification/experience in Sterile and Non-Sterile Compounding COMPETENCIES (SKILLS AND ABILITIES) Knowledgeable and proficient in all cross-functional pharmacy areas, including but not limited to sterile and non-sterile compounding Passionate about teaching others and sharing knowledge that align with internal requirements & regulations Experience with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Ability to pay attention to detail and retain information readily Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, presentation skills. Able to interact with all levels of the organization Analytical Skills: data analysis, systems thinking, organizational knowledge, problem identification, analysis and solving Demonstrate initiative, possession of strong organizational skills and attention to detail Strong coaching and feedback skills.
