Job Description:

* Performs duties related to delivery of pharmaceutical care including new medication ordering, processing, filling and delivery; replacement of unit stock; applicable billing procedures and replenishing of PYXIS med stations
* Assists with maintaining accurate inventory and records for controlled drugs including periodic inventories
* Processes IV medication orders and prepares intravenous admixtures (including chemotherapy using strict aseptic and protective techniques)
* Assists with processing of ambulatory care prescriptions adhering to established policies and procedures
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program preferred. Current State of Maine Pharmacy Tech or Pharmacy Intern license, or be eligible for required pharmacy technician licensure (required)
* Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program preferred.
* Current Pharmacy Technician Board Certification (CPhT), preferred
* At least 1 year of pharmacy experience in a hospital setting and/or retail setting, strongly preferred
* Extensive customer service experience Excellent and demonstrated communication skills
* Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
* Computer proficiency
