Job Summary and Qualifications

Role Summary: The MHP Pharmacy Technician III works effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary care coordination team to improve the quality of care coordination and patient management throughout the continuum of care. The Pharmacy Technician III uses effective communication skills to obtain accurate medication histories, performs medication reconciliations, acts as expert in medication access and adherence, supports clinical pharmacist in management of pharmacy-related quality measures, and is responsible for project management and delegation to pharmacy staff and learners.


What qualifications you will need:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred Education: Pharmacy technician training program from accredited community college
  • Required License: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
  • Required Experience: At least 3 years of pharmacy technician experience, including two years at Mission Health System; proficiency with Microsoft Office 4
  • Preferred Experience: Five or more years of experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in a healthcare setting; experience in community/outpatient pharmacy; experience with medication assistance programs; training with motivational interviewing
