Position Description:
Pharmacy- Valley Forge Retail Pharmacy

You will be responsible to process prescriptions through the pharmacy system including adjudication of claims to third party insurance plans, for the filling of medication orders timely and accurately, recognize common drug names, and select proper drug, dosage form, strength and quantity, as appropriate for review by the Pharmacist. Throughout the work period you will be stationed at the drop-off/pick-up windows and various filling counters in the pharmacy. You will also provide timely communication to the Pharmacist for checking and general activities including proper customer service, patient/employee safety, operational/schedule needs, inventory control, etc.

Minimum Requirements:
High school graduate/equivalent required. Technician certification (CPhT) is required. You must be able to perform dosage calculations, have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of hospital personnel, perform basic office environment tasks, have the aptitude to maintain proficiency in all Pharmacy computer systems, automated dispensing software and systems, and all technical equipment required to perform duties, and possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and the Internet. Additionally, you are expected to satisfactorily maintain/pass required hospital, government, and professional certifications/validations/examinations. Possess the ability to perform the Physical/Working Requirements within a pharmacy/delivery area. High prescription retail/chain volume experience with a working knowledge of third party insurance plans preferred.
