Overview

Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, assists in the preparation and distribution of medications using appropriate pharmaceutical technique, computer programs and various technical automation equipment.

Responsibilities

* Procures and distributes medication orders per physician request, or prearranged work assignment according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
* Contributes to the effective operation of the department.
* Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies and procedures.

Qualifications

* HS diploma or equivalent and No Experience necessary / On-the-Job Training
* One of the following:
* Employees must obtain Registered Pharmacy Technician - MO or equivalent within 90 days
* PHARM TECH REG KS Registered Pharmacy Technician - KS Kansas licensure required if practicing at CHK or Kansas Required 90 Days
* PHARM TECH REG MO Registered Pharmacy Technician - MO Licensure is required or obtained within 90 days of employment at the discretion of the Pharmacy Director Required 90 Days
* PHARM INT REG Registered Pharmacy Intern Intern or pharmacy technician license required for students enrolled in pharmacy school Required 90 Days

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $15.39, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children's Mercy locations and may not work from home.
