The Pharmacy Technician assists in the provision of pharmaceutical services under the direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist by performing the technical, clerical, and manipulative tasks involved in dispensing, preparing, and distributing all medications and pharmaceutical products for all patient age groups (including geriatrics, adult, adolescent, pediatric and neonatal) and maintaining statistical records.
The position is also responsible for identifying and reporting hazardous environments or safety issues (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors to appropriate personnel. The position is also responsible for any other assigned tasks, as appropriate).
New Jersey registered or registration eligible. One year previous pharmacy experience (hospital setting preferred) and/or pharmacy
technician training course. PTCB certification preferred.
