Description

The Technician will follow well-defined instructions utilizing necessary skills to prepare and distribute medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. These duties include but are not limited to: filling and labeling medications, refilling Pyxis, delivering medications to Patient Care Areas, preparing IV admixture solutions, answering the telephone and directing the call to the appropriate staff. Maintaining medication stock levels, maintaining proper storage of medications to ensure safe and cost effective pharmaceutical services.

Qualifications

High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, GED, or equivalent training or experience required. Licenses & Certifications: Registered Pharmacy Technician Additional Qualifications: Hospital experience preferred which may include internship training hours. Maintains PTCB or ICPT Certification, or Florida Pharmacy Intern License or Pharmacist licensed outside of Florida is preferred. Minimum Required Experience:
