Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
* Promote a friendly group working environment; work closely with other departments as necessary; support group decisions and solicit opinions from co-workers; display team spirit
* Participates in development and implementation of new programs, policies and procedures, updates existing non-clinical policies and procedures
* Complete reporting and auditing for staff on monthly basis
* Assists manager and VP of pharmacy with complex projects
* Able to handle multiple tasks and remain calm with changes in area needs; able to manage transitions effectively from task to task
* Coordinates and oversees complex clerical and administrative pharmacy functions
* Trains and monitors the work of pharmacy technicians so that they are able to perform assigned duties; identifies individual training needs and reports to manager
* Prepares employee work hours/shifts and vacation schedules
* Serves as a resource for the more complex technical pharmacy issues and questions; assists professional staff (internal and external departments)
* Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others including physicians, nurses, administrators, managers, vendors, and other health care industry personnel
* Monitor team's performance; maintain records and compile statistics
* Handles all HR related issues and concerns
* Weekly/Monthly reporting to senior management / personnel
* Leads and coordinates special projects as assigned; perform pharmacy technician duties as well
* Performs other duties assigned
