Schedule: Must be available to work Monday thru Friday, with 8.5 hours shifts with start time ranging between 0630 and 0830. Shifts will be split across all campuses. Hours subject to change based upon business needs.

What You Will Do:
Performs business activities that are geared toward optimizing the financial and organizational performance of the pharmacy department. Business specialist oversees a wide array of processes that may include billing, inventory control, data analysis and technology utilization and optimization.

  • Coordinates inventory receipt, reconciliation and location management.
  • Leverages vendors for product availability and pricing.
  • Contract compliance to realize financial impacts.
  • Reports variances to Pharmacy Leadership.
  • Establishes and enforces minimums and maximums for all medications and supplies.
  • Monitoring high-cost and non-formulary items.
  • Processes pharmaceutical returns to the contracted third party reverse distributor.
  • Works closely with Clinical Coordinator and Operations Manager to manage shortage medications and new formulary items in accordance with department direction.
  • Recall management.
  • Loan and Borrow process management.
  • Participates in conference calls and communication with Group Purchasing Organization.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required within 9 months of hire
  • 2-4 years of experience preferred
