Description

The Pharmacy Technician reflects the mission, vision, and values of NMHC, adheres to the organizations Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities:

Provides pharmacy services and assistance under the supervision of a pharmacist.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.
Fills medication carts on a daily basis.
Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department.
Repackages bulk medications.
Provides pharmacy services and assistance under the supervision of a pharmacist.

Qualifications

Required:

High School diploma or equivalent.
LIC PHARMT: Illinois licensure as a Pharmacy Technician.

Preferred:

1 year of experience in a hospital setting.
CPhT: Certification as a Pharmacy Technician
