This is not your typical Pharmacy Tech job!
This pharmacy tech position is located in the Los Alamos Medical Center clinical pharmacy in a small, family oriented department. Our techs have the ability to learn and experience all aspects of the pharmacy tech role, with a great, reliable and very experienced team of co-workers. This position allows the ability to interact with multiple areas within our hospital. The collaborative relationship with the onsite Pharmacy Director allows for flexibility in scheduling whenever possible.

This position. Provides distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the registered pharmacist. Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems. Fills medication carts on a daily basis. Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department. Repackages bulk medications.
HSD/GED required.
Licenses:
Registered Pharmacy Technician in New Mexico (upon hire, must be registered with New Mexico Board of Pharmacy (NMBP) within one year); Certified nationally by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) (upon hire, must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) within one year); Sterile IV Compounding certified in NM
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
