Job Summary and Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY: The Pharmacist Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the pharmacy services as assigned. During their shift duties are to include staffing, overview of the technical staff, maintenance of the pharmacy standard of practice and adherence to the policies and procedures of the department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Reviews and interprets physician medication orders ensuring appropriate therapy.
* Ensures that the compounding and dispensing of all medications is accurate and timely.
* Actively participates in the pharmaceutical care of the patient to promote a positive outcome.
* Has responsibility for oversight of staff assigned to pharmacy.
* Responsibility of licensure and registration of each individual pharmacy.
* Ensure compliance with company and regulatory operational standards

REQUIRED LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS

* Current license to practice pharmacy in the State of Texas.
* ACPE approved 20-hour course in sterile compounding that provides both didactic and experiential training

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy

PREFERRED EDUCATION, LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

* Good judgment and decision making skills
* Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously
* Ability to get along with co-workers in a positive manner
* Ability to learn multiple computer skills

Our range of services include emergency care, cardiac care, women's services, Level III NICU, rehabilitation, a bariatric clinic, and a Minimally Invasive Surgery Center.
