Position Summary

Essential Job Functions

Support company Health and Wellness initiativesUnderstand and adhere to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations and the company's policies regarding HIPPAMaintain a current national and/or state registration, certification, or license depending on state requirementsResponsible for administering vaccinations, point of care testing, completing Technician Product Verification, and other advanced pharmacy technician duties as allowed by state lawAssist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those that require a pharmacist's professional judgementProvide a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensingProvide day-to-day training support for pharmacy associates and encourage, monitor, and assist new techs through the technician training programEnsure execution of department standards by leading by exampleServe as an alternative representative for store-wide meetings/huddlesSupport workflow and pharmacist over-sight through shift leadership, delegating station rotation and best solutions to any issues that may ariseAct as pharmacy safety subject matter expert by being able to recognize areas of opportunity and coach to correctness as appropriateComply with and reinforce all sanitation and safety regulations/guidelines/procedures and programs according to company, local, state, and federal health code regulations; identify unsafe conditions and notify store managementComply with local, state and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraudMust be willing and able to adequately perform all essential job functions and tasks of a Pharmacy Certified TechnicianMust be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Minimum Position Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED1 year of Pharmacy Certified Technician experience within the Kroger enterpriseDemonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive informationExcellent oral/written communication skillsMust be at least 18 years of ageCompletion of national and/or state registration, certification or licensure depending upon state requirementsProven attention to detail and stellar customer service skillsSelf-motivated, able to organize, prioritize, plan and meet deadlinesActive enrollment in American Heart Association Basic Life Support courseCompletion of company-approved practical immunization training program and ongoing maintenance requirementsCompletion of company-approved Point of Care training program and ongoing maintenance requirements as allowed by state lawCompletion of company-approved Technician Product Verification program and ongoing maintenance requirements as allowed by state law

Desired Previous Experience/Education

1 year of previous experience in a management or supervisory role

Education Level: High School Diploma/GED Desired
