Description
Position Summary:

Participates in a twelve-month program designed to further education and training in order to practice at a high level as a pharmacist.

Under the direction of the residency program director and/or preceptors, provides quality patient-oriented pharmaceutical care, which includes providing drug information and consultation to physicians and other health care personnel, receiving medication orders from health care providers, reviewing each for appropriate therapy, managing the dispensing of medications to the patient care areas and monitoring patient response to drug therapy.

Serves as an educational resource for other health care personnel.

Position Qualification:

Requirements include but are not limited to:

* Doctor of pharmacy from an ACPE Accredited College of Pharmacy

* Eligibility for licensure in the State of Tennessee is required

* Ability to work with mathematical concepts, such as exponents, logarithms and quadratic equations.

* Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis
