This residency position is to enable pharmacy graduated to gain additional knowledge and experience beyond traditional academic experience, undergratuate pharmacy clerkships and general practice hospital experience. The resident participates in the developments and implementation of departmental goals and objectives to improve pharmaceutical services and standards of patient care. Also, promotes department's delivery of pharmaceutical care with the primary focus on patient outcome. The resident will report to the Residency Program Director/Pharmacy Clinical Manager. The resident remains in this classification for 12 months form date of hire, up to 18 months if deemed necessary by the manager.
What You Bring/Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
* Understanding of the components of a clinical service.
* Knowledge in formulary management (i.e. P&T, MUE, and ADR reporting programs).
* Teaching experience such as that obtained during a PharmD program.
* Experience working with multidisciplinary teams; time management and communication skills.
* Knowledge of the principles and practices of pharmaceutical care, including IV preparation, automated dispensing systems,
* PharmD or equivalent work experience required
* Licensure as a registered pharmacist in Colorado must be obtained within 90 days from date of hire required
* BLS through AHA is required
Physical Requirements
Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
