Parkview Regional Medical Center (PRMC) is accepting applications for a pharmacy manager of oncology services. Responsibilities : The Pharmacy manager leads all oncology services within the Parkview Health System. This leader will supervise and mentor a 20 FTE team of pharmacy personnel in infusion services, office-based ambulatory services, inpatient services, and investigational drug services while maintaining clinical competency within oncology care. This leader works with Parkview Cancer Institute and other Parkview Health leaders to promote alignment in operations and contribute to oncology strategy throughout all sites of care. Proactive communication, a focus on quality and safety, as well as a solid understanding of regulatory, accreditation, and the revenue cycle are essential skills for this leader. The manager will work collaboratively with other departments and pharmacy leaders to meet positive quality, safety, and financial outcomes.

This individual will be part of a dedicated team as part of the Parkview Cancer Institute located on the campus of PRMC with decentralized clinics. The Oncology team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, patient care nurses, research nurses, medical assistants, dietary, medication assistance coordinator, care navigators, pharmacy residents, and pharmacy students. With pharmacist coworkers providing patient care in both inpatient, outpatient infusion, and outpatient clinic settings, Parkview is creating a seamless inpatient to outpatient transition. The Medical Oncology Parkview Physician Group cares for a variety of oncology diagnoses and is part of numerous research protocols. Clinical protocols include both industry and cooperative studies and allow exposure to state-of-the-art studies and new drugs in development. The Surgical Oncology Physician Group manages surgical oncology needs of patients using innovation and technology to provide advanced practice medicine.

This collaborative interdisciplinary team is eager to find a manager to take Cancer Care in Northeast Indiana to the next level.

Parkview Pharmacy has provided advanced pharmacy services in a variety of areas for decades. Parkview offers a progressive pharmaceutical care environment in a variety of practice settings, with tremendous growth in ambulatory pharmaceutical care including primary care, hospital-based clinics, specialty clinics, and a retail/specialty pharmacy. Inpatient services include interdisciplinary rounding, and surgical/critical care and oncology satellite pharmacies. PRMC, a member of Parkview Health, is a major regional medical center located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It provides comprehensive medical services to patients in northeastern Indiana, northwestern Ohio, and southern Michigan. PRMC is a tertiary medical center with 535 beds (all private) and is a Level II Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center. In addition to the medical and surgical populations, it also has specialty centers for stroke, cardiac, orthopedics, oncology, and women's and children's services.

Qualifications : Candidates must possess a pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited institution with completion of a PGY-1 residency program preferred. Five years pharmacy practice experience with a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience highly preferred. Pharmacy licensure, or eligibility, in Indiana required. Candidates must have a high level of oncology practice skills, enthusiasm for patient care, and the interpersonal skills needed to interact effectively with health professionals, patients, residents, and students.
