Job Description:

This position is responsible for the oversight of all functions associated with providing ambulatory pharmacy services to long-term care facilities and hospice programs. This position will require dedicated ownership of service development, implementation, and delivery. The Pharmacy Manager will be required to demonstrate strong analytical skills, as well as the ability to develop and manage relationships and communicate effectively across various levels of the organization. Strong customer service will be essential. Performs supervisory and management activities consistent with the expectations of Essentia Health and the Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations. Serves as the Pharmacist In Charge/Managing Pharmacist per Board of Pharmacy requirements. Participates in and oversees all duties associated with providing quality pharmaceutical services, including the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions. Will also participate in clinical initiatives and assist in all aspects of the daily pharmacy department activities, including training of new staff and pharmacy students, supervision of pharmacy technicians and interns, resolution of customer service issues, and other functions necessary for optimal pharmacy performance.

Education Qualifications:

Work Experience:

Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Education Qualifications:

Graduate of a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (BS or PharmD degree required)

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Meets Board of Pharmacy requirements to be a Pharmacist in Charge/Managing Pharmacist within applicable state(s). Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the Board of Pharmacy in the state in which they will be working (Minnesota, Wisconsin). If currently registered as a Pharmacist in another state, must be registered with the Board of Pharmacy in the state in which they will be working (Minnesota, Wisconsin) as a Pharmacist-Intern and actively pursuing licensure as a Registered Pharmacist, obtaining licensure within 90 days of hire. Ongoing continuing education and license renewal as required by the state Board of Pharmacy. BLS certified within 90 days from hire date. Immunization Delivery Certification completed within 1 year from hire date.
