Now Hiring a Pharmacy Manager

FTE: 1.0, 1st shift

Location: US: WI: MENOMONEE FALLS at our FROEDTERT MEN FALLS HOSPITAL facility.

Summary:

The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and monitoring pharmacy practice and services at CMH. He/she will oversee the daily activities of the department including, but not limited to pharmacokinetics, therapeutic drug monitoring, patient- controlled analgesia, antibiotic usage, drug policy initiatives, and decentral drug distribution. The Pharmacy Manager will work together with other Hospital clinicians to define and develop pharmacy practice as it relates to pharmacy and the improvement of patient care. Collaboration with other department managers to develop and implement new clinical pharmacy services will ensure the integration of pharmaceutical care throughout the Hospital. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

· Minimum of 3 years Hospital pharmacy experience or completion of an ASHP accredited pharmacy practice residency and/or advanced degree is required.

· Displays a thorough understanding of pharmacology and therapeutics, acquired through a combination of school and experience, in order to recommend appropriate and patient specific therapeutic regimens and subsequently monitor outcomes.

· Experience in development of new systems, innovative use of pharmacy extenders and improvement initiatives in the areas of pharmacy practice is required.

· BS or Pharm. D. degree received from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy is required.

· Minimum of 3 years Hospital pharmacy experience or completion of an ASHP accredited pharmacy practice residency and/or advanced degree is required.

· Master's degree is preferred.

· Wisconsin pharmacist license (or eligible for) is required. Board certification is preferred.

Demonstrate effective teaching ability. Is able to oversee the medication use process , monitor drug utilization, and implement strategies to manage safe use of medications. Demonstrates the ability to justify and implement new programs. Displays strong leadership skills. Demonstrates ability and willingness to participate in all aspects of human resource management including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, appraising, disciplining, and terminating. Demonstrates competency of word processing skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, as well as a comfort in researching and navigation of the Internet.
