**Pharmacy Manager - Hematology/Oncology & Infusion Services**

This position in collaboration with pharmacy leadership and under the guidance of the Associate Director of Pharmacy for Hematology/Oncology, Research and Infusion Services is responsible for the daily management ofhematology/oncology and infusion pharmacy operations and clinical services.

Responsibilities

+ Oversees clinical, operational and regulatory processes within theNorris Cotton Cancer Center (NCCC) pharmacy andensures these processes ensure safe, cost-effective and efficient medication management

+ Identify and execute process improvements, in operations, drug utilization and other applicable performance improvement projects as defined by the Associate Director of Pharmacy and cancer center administration.

+ Maintains supervision and human resource responsibilities for all hematology/oncology pharmacists that report to hematology/oncology services and operations

+ Responsible for the ongoing development and motivation of clinical pharmacist staff by assuring the timely resolution of personnel issues, ongoing communication of performance expectations and the completion of performance appraisals

+ Coordinates the identification, communication and resolution of problems relating to daily operational activities.

+ Lead meetings for hematology/oncology and infusion services pharmacy staff in collaboration with other practice leaders

+ Monitor compliance with policies and procedures and provide feedback to staff and supervisors

+ Responsible for developing, monitoring and reporting measures forquality, productivity and performance related to pharmacy operations, for example: monitor medication turn-around-time, ensure that staff obtain breaks and lunches

+ Assists in the development and maintenance of programs and policies for monitoring and enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of pharmacy services

+ Communicates the status of projects, staff concerns, and problems to the Associate Director of Pharmacy on a weekly basis.

+ Assists the Associate Director of Pharmacy in setting priorities for and tracking progress on quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

+ Performs regular audits and rounds in areas where medications are stored, prepared or administered to identify practices that deviate from existing policies or standards.

+ Function as a liaison for hematology/oncology and infusion pharmacy practice

+ Collaborate with other Clinical Pharmacist Leads and Pharmacy Managers to coordinate activities that involve other practice areas or expertise

+ Serve as a role model and mentor

+ Staff as needed to support Hematology/Oncology and Infusion operations

+ Maintain Licensure to practice pharmacy in the State of NH and VT

+ Performs other duties as required or assigned.

**Minimum Qualifications** :

• 5 years of health care system experience (of which 3 must be pharmacy supervisory experience), or the equivalent preferred.

• PharmD and/or advanced degree (e.g. MS, MBA) preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision, and possess the ability to set priorities and make critical decisions.

• Managerial effectiveness, problem solving, and change management abilities desired.

• Effective oral and written communication skills, as well as demonstrated interpersonal and team skills essential.

**Required Licensure/Certification Skills** :

Graduate of an ACPE accredited school of Pharmacy

Current unrestricted NH licensure (or eligible)

BLS Certification within 30 days of hire for Manager of Retail or Specialty Pharmacy

Board Certification in Specialty Pharmacy (CSP) within 3 years of hire for Manager of Specialty Pharmacy
