Pharmacy Resident (PGY-1) - Pharmacy

Corpus Christi Medical Center is a 631- bed Health Care System including Bay Area, Doctors Regional, The Heart Hospital, Northwest Regional, Bayview Behavioral Hospital, Northshore Emergency Center, Northwest Behavioral Health Center and Radiation Oncology at Corpus Christi Cancer Center.

What you will do in this role:

POSITION SUMMARY: The post-graduate year 1 (PGY-1) Pharmacy Resident is a graduate from an ACPE-accredited Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program. They are a citizen of the USA or hold a visa allowing for the completion of the residency Year. Resident must desire to be a highly motivated pharmacist wanting advanced education and training that leads to an enhanced level of professional pharmacy practice. The resident must be licensed to work as a registered pharmacist in the State of Texas, no later than October 1 of the residency year. The resident must adhere to the rules of the resident matching program (RMP) process and utilize the PhORCAS system for the application process.

EDUCATION

Graduation from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited degree program (or one in process of pursuing accreditation) or have a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC) certificate from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP). At a minimum, the program must be a five-year pharmacy degree program

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE

  • Post Graduate Degree
  • Pharmacy Intern License & must obtain Texas Pharmacist License within 60 days of hire
