GoGoMeds is seeking an experienced part-time Pharmacy Intern for our mail order pharmacy.

Duties will include:
Data entry and problem solving with pharmacists to deliver accurate prescription information
Collecting and entering information required for timely and accurate processing of prescription orders
Reviewing medication orders and prescriptions
Providing customer service to patients
Contacting insurers to clarify coverage
Entering medication histories and maintaining records
Filling prescriptions accurately according to state and federal laws
Processing customer payments and resolve billing discrepancies
Reading and interpreting prescriptions and pharmaceutical literature
Processing and filling prescriptions accurately according to state and federal laws
Reviewing medication orders and prescriptions and organizing medications for dispensing; preparing labels and calculating quantities
Replenishing automated dispensing cabinets
Preparing labels for medication bottles
Reviewing expiration dates on medications
Selecting appropriate packing materials
Staging medication deliveries
Basic automation maintenance
Inventory preparation and management
Other reasonable duties as assigned by manager

Knowledge of medical terms, abbreviations, and pharmacy calculations

Ability to work out of 2 or more systems simultaneously

Required Qualifications
Kentucky Pharmacy Intern License
Must be available for weekend shift rotation
Must be enrolled in a school of pharmacy
Must have begun taking professional classes directly related to the practice of pharmacy
Demonstrated knowledge of the practice of pharmacy
Ability to exercise considerable judgment, maintain confidentiality, and act in a diplomatic manner
