A reputable hospital in Washington State is seeking an outgoing, energetic Pharmacy Director to lead their amazingly talented team. The Pharmacy Director will supervise staff in an acute care setting and oversee IV therapy.
The Pharmacy Director will report to the Chief Nursing Officer and lead a team of about 13. That team is made up of pharmacists, pharmacy buyers and pharmacy technicians. The Pharmacy Director will also be responsible for the unit's budget, policy and program development as well as implementation of those programs.
The Pharmacy Director will not only act as a leader and role model for their team but be a main point of contact for medical staff throughout the hospital. The Pharmacy Director will be asked to participate on medical staff committees as well. The Director may need to step in and spend time providing assistance to staff in the event of low staffing levels as this role is considered a working director.
