Overview

The Pharmacy Buyer Sr is responsible for procurement activities related to pharmaceutical purchases for the Novant Medical Group. Responsible for drug shortage monitoring, research and procurement.

Qualifications

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree required. B.S. degree required, preferably business related.
• Experience: Minimum of five years demonstrated progressive experience in healthcare. At least two years of drug purchasing experience required. Novant procurement experience preferred.
• Additional skills required: Valid NC Drivers License; considerable knowledge and application of basic math skills, including ratio and proportion relationships; familiarity with keyboard; extensive ability to communicate accurately and effectively under pressure; good written communication skills; ability to comprehend and follow verbal instructions' Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s)' age. Has ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs.
• Additional skills preferred: Auditing and accounting skills
