As the Pharmacy Account Manager you are joining an elite team within OptumRx Client Management to serve as a contact for the clients' staff for management of day to day inquires between OptumRx and the client. You will be responsible for coordinating the activities of multiple internal departments to deliver best-in-class service to our client. You will serve as the lead to coordinate efforts with internal operational areas to ensure we are meeting these requirements. The ability to proactively identify client's needs and establish proactive plans will be key in this role. Relationship development, both internal and with the client's key stakeholders, will be necessary to ensure client satisfaction. As a key member of the Account team you will be responsible for supporting the overall team with client retention and growth. This position requires a high - performing individual with proven communication skills and a comprehensive understanding of the PBM environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Act as an outward facing resource for assigned accounts
  • Build relationships with clients and serve as the primary point of contact for overall and day - to - day service delivery
  • Represent the client internally and coordinate with other functions to implement plan design, complete projects and address ongoing service needs
  • Provide regular communication to management on client concerns and feedback
  • Assist in client training for remote system access and reporting
  • Collaborate with multiple layers of management to ensure service delivery is accurate and ensure responses are completed on time and within scope.
  • Oversee all PBM operational functions pertaining to day - to - day management of the customer.
  • Assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements and represents both internally and externally.
  • Responsible for the PBM operational management of self - funded customers in coordination with assigned account team members
  • Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems and translates concepts into practice.
  • Collaborate and communicate with internal business partners
  • Participate in team, segment, or organizational projects/workgroups
  • Serves as a resource to others

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 5+ years of Client relationship management, Account Management or similar experience in a Health Care, Health Plan or PBM setting
  • 2+ years experience working in RxClaims system
  • Proficiency within Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management), Microsoft Word (create, edit, save and send documents), Microsoft OneNote (organize information, data and references) and Microsoft Excel (ability to analyze reports and ability to review large amounts of data)
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time (US based travel)
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) OR equivalent work experience
  • Experience and knowledge of PBM Industry

  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 - $116,000. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $71,400 - $127,400. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
