* Job Summary
* Staff pharmacists process/verify orders for medications, monitor patient medication therapies and provide drug information. Staff pharmacists supervise and direct support personnel. In the absence of the pharmacy manager, a staff pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the pharmacy manager.

* The residency program director (RPD) position is a secondary position, encompassing the responsibilities and administrative duties of a RPD, in addition to that pharmacist's primary position responsibilities. This secondary pharmacist position is responsible for overseeing the operations of a pharmacy residency program and is administratively responsible for the development, maintenance, and execution of the program's content and structure such that it is sufficient to meet or exceed the Standards of Accreditation set by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). This position functions to assist the resident in gaining the best educational and practical experience from the program. This position works closely with supervisors, managers, preceptors, clinical coordinators, and staff to schedule rotations; and provides resources and education to residents and preceptors. The RPD participates in defining the pharmacy department's overall purpose statement, planning and goal setting, and performance standards in order to assist in leading the department, its residents, and its preceptors to the achievement of excellence in pharmacy practice. The individual must display maturity, independence, initiative, and strong communication and organizational skills. In addition, the individual will exemplify the CoxHealth mission, vision, and values and act in accordance with CoxHealth policies and procedures.

* Education
* Required: Bachelors in Pharmacy - Graduate of an ACPE accredited school of Pharmacy

* Preferred: Doctorate of Pharmacy - Completion of ASHP accredited PGY1 residency

* Experience
* Required: No Prior Experience Required

* Preferred: 2 years healthcare setting or equivalent residency training

* Licensure/Certification/Registration
* Required: Registered with Missouri Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacist or registry eligible and obtain within 90 days of hire

* Eligibility for licensure requires submission of application for Pharmacy License at time of hire

* Required: Medication Therapy Services Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

* Required: Board of Pharmacy Specialties certified (in relevant area) or expected within 3 years of starting the position.
