The pharmacist helps ensure the appropriate prescription and administration of medications to patients within the institution.

* Graduate of a school of pharmacy required, PharmD degree preferred (or 2 3 years clinical experience) and licensed in the State of Alabama. Must have controlled substance certificate valid in the State of Alabama for the current year. Must obtain Pharmacy License within 6 months in position.Ability to accurately perform computer order entry duties. Proficient in needed pharmaceutical calculations and the metric system. Basic knowledge in pharmacokinetic calculations and parenteral nutrition management. Knowledge of aseptic technique. Evidence of commitment to continuing education.Registered Pharmacist or license eligible; Controlled Substance certification.
