Position Summary:
The Clinical/Staff Pharmacist is responsible for coordinating, on a day-to-day basis, the provision of high-quality, comprehensive pharmaceutical care to the patients of Frye Regional Medical Center in accordance with established regulations and procedures. This includes drug distribution functions as well as clinical activities.

Responsibilities:
* Interprets medication orders and transcribes to patient medication profiles accurately
* Monitors drug therapy regimens for contraindications, duplications, drug-drug interactions, drug-food interactions, allergies, and appropriateness of drug, dose, and frequency
* Compounds and dispenses medications including sterile compounds, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition products
* Reviews/interprets laboratory data for therapy appropriateness and recommends changes as needed
* Interacts with patients, health care providers, clinics, and prescribers involved with the patient
* Documents all clinical activities and interventions accurately and completely
* Participates in the quality improvement and medication use review activities of the department as necessary

Education/Certifications/Licenses:
Bachelor's Degree required
Doctor of Pharmacy preferred
Valid NC Pharmacy License required
