In this key role, the Pharmacist is responsible for the provision of pharmaceutical care to all patient age groups (including geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric and neonatal patients). This individual will prepare, dispense, and monitor both the prescribing and effectiveness of all medications and IV admixtures while exercising considerable independent decision making ability.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an ACPE accredited college of Pharmacy, or foreign equivalent educational degree.
  • Bachelor's degree required. PharmD preferred.
  • Current New Jersey State license as Registered Pharmacist.
  • Familiarity with all phases of Hospital Pharmacy and a working knowledge of public health matters, as well as, Federal and State laws regulating the professional and hospital practice of Pharmacy.
  • Understands the role of the Hospital Pharmacy Department within the hospital and its interrelationships with other departments and functions.
