213796 Pharmacist - Nome, AK -13-week Contract
Sigma Healthcare team is currently looking for Pharmacist to work onsite at contracted facilities.

Position Overview:
- The staff pharmacist is required to provide pharmaceutical care to all patients of the hospital.
- The safe and appropriate use of medications is the overriding principle that focuses our efforts toward all our customers (patients, physicians, staff).
Essential Functions:
- Reviews and interprets physician orders and completes computer order entry of those orders. Prepares and dispenses medications pursuant to physician orders.
- Provides drug information/education to medical staff, ancillary staff, and patients.
- Supervises technicians and checks essential work output prior to delivery to patient care areas.
- Maintains proper storage and inventory of medications, especially CIIs.
- Participates in therapeutic drug monitoring, consult services (e.g. pharmacokinetics and renal dosing, anticoagulation, infectious disease therapy, parenteral nutrition, pharmacology, and chemotherapy).
- Participates in quality improvement and educational activities of the department.
- Monitors reports from CII Safe to minimize diversion opportunities.
- Contributes/publishes newsletter as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy and be licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of Colorado. Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently, and must possess good verbal and written skills.
- Training & Experience: Preferably previous experience in hospital pharmacy and/or hospital pharmacy residency.
- Job Knowledge: Must understand the role of the Pharmacy Department in the hospital and relationships within the department and with other departments.
