Pharmacist - Full Time - Evening Shift 330-midnight and every other weekend

Position Highlights:

Provides safe and effective drug therapy management to improve the outcomes of patients.

Works centrally and de-centrally to perform all functions of a Registered Pharmacist including clinical interactions with the health care team, patient care monitoring, accurate dispensing and supervisory of the pharmacy technicians

Consults with physicians and nursing staff to ensure the best patient care and evidenced based medicine

The Ideal Candidate: Will have a PGY1 residency or a minimum of 3 years of clinical hospital experience

Responsibilities:

One of the primary functions will be the verification of physician's orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiently into the computer system

Review patient medication profile review (allergy, drug interaction screens etc.)

Providing drug and policy information to patients and other healthcare professionals

Ensures that the physician's orders are evidenced based and that the best pharmaceutical therapy is initiated appropriately.

Provide clinical pharmacy services in order to optimize the pharmaceutical care provided to our patients

Coordinates and supervises drug distribution

Provides educational services to patients and healthcare professionals

Participates in the training of new pharmacist, students and technicians

Credentials and Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in pharmacy required

Licensed as a pharmacist in the state of Florida required
