The schedule for this position is PRN which means the hours you will be working are as needed.
JOB SUMMARY: Provides patient care consistent with the Mission and Vision of Avera. Job assignments will be made based on the knowledge, skills, and abilities of individual employees as well as the current workload. The pharmacist must accept personal responsibility and accountability for the patient's outcomes. Must utilize effective problem solving skills as appropriate. Conveys enthusiasm and sincerity in all activities; promotes Avera and its services in a positive manner to all customers and co-workers. Must be willing to adapt to change and have the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Coordinates work flow with other team members, including other pharmacists, residents, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy students to ensure a productive and efficient environment. Precept pharmacy students and residents as assigned. Provides oversight for technical staff as assigned and/or necessary. May chair or be involved in organization or department committees and quality improvement projects.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
+ Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree preferred.
+ Completion of ASHP Accredited PGY1 (and PGY2 for some areas) Pharmacy Residency preferred. CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS:
+ Registered Pharmacist in the state of South Dakota required within 30 days of hire.
+ Board Certified by Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties preferred (Refer to staff development plan for specific requirements)
