* JOB SUMMARY
* Reports to the Pharmacy Manager. Provides efficient and accurate dispensing of pharmaceuticals in accordance with legal, regulatory and accrediting agency standards and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. Oversees, reviews and checks all work of technical and student support staff when that work involves medication preparation and/or dispensing. Consults with medical staff, clinical pharmacy practitioners, nurses, hospital staff and others within the community to coordinate delivery of high quality pharmaceutical services to hospital patients.

* JOB SPECIFICATIONS
* Education and Experience
* The knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or a Pharm D degree from an accredited school of pharmacy or successful completion of the foreign pharmacy equivalency exam and licensure as a registered pharmacist or eligible for licensure in the State of Indiana.

* Demonstrates the interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written), necessary to interact effectively with physicians, hospital staff, and other health care professionals to assure optimum pharmaceutical care.

* Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of policies, procedures and standards for the provision of pharmaceutical services.
