Job Summary and Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY:The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for overseeing the pharmacy services during their shift to include staffing, overview of the technical staff, maintenance of the pharmacy standard of practice and adherence to the policies and procedures of the department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Reviews and interprets physician medication orders ensuring appropriate therapy.

2. Ensures that the compounding and dispensing of all medications is accurate and timely.

3. Actively participates in the pharmaceutical care of the patient to promote a positive outcome.

14. Job Specific:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Physical demands require performing all essential functions of this position as assigned. REQUIRED LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS

Current license to practice pharmacy in the State of Texas.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy
