Seeking a Pharmacy Intern for our hospital who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. The Pharmacy Intern's responsibilities include:
  • performs all activities of a Pharmacy Technician, including IV admixture preparation and duties associated with automated dispensing cabinets and other duties as assigned by the pharmacy management team.
  • must work under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.

Qualifications

Education
  • Currently enrolled in the professional sequence of a college/school of pharmacy
  • Completed the first professional year and obtained a minimum of 30 credit hours or work towards a professional degree in pharmacy
  • Must have completed the pharmacy's on-site technician training program
  • Must have completed the training required for pharmacists in §291.133 of Texas Rules and Regulations (relating to Pharmacies Compounding Sterile Preparations). This may be obtained through completion of a recognized course in an accredited college of pharmacy or a course sponsored by an ACPE accredited provider.
Certificate/License
  • Active, registered Pharmacist-Intern, as per State requirements, in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy
