Title: Pharmacist II Client: Pharma Client Job type: Contract Duration: 06 Months Client's Location: North Chicago, IL Job ID: ABBVJPDescription: Reviews prescriptions issued by Physician, or other authorized prescriber to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed. Compounds medications, using standard formulas and processes such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients. Directs pharmacy workers engaged in mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals. Answers questions and provides information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage or pharmaceuticals. Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs. Enters data such as patient name, prescribed medication and cost, to maintain pharmacy files, charge system, and inventory. Assays medications to determine identity, purity, and strength. Instructs interns and other medical personnel on matters pertaining to pharmacy. 4-7 years of experience.

***Candidates MUST be comfortable being on their feet all day. No heavy lifting, however they will be pushing carts that may be heavy - no more than 30lbs.

- MUST be Licensed in IL
- Retail Pharmacy experience (i.e. CVS, Walgreens, Target etc)
- Multi-tasking
- Great Communication Skills
- Self-motivating

- How much time will be spend pushing carts? Is the environment they will be working in a distribution center/warehouse? Not much time, maybe every few hours (3 to 4) - they may have to push 1 cart. They will be working in a distribution area.
- Will they be interacting with patients and/or providers? No
- Would you consider a candidate who has industrial pharmacy background rather than experience in retail - if they have handled high volume orders? Yes (mail order)
Note that hours could be anytime between 6am and 10pm (usually 8 hour shift)
Work Schedule (Define days,# of hours)/ Is Overtime offered or required? Mon-Friday - 8 hour
