A wonderful job opportunity for a Pharmacist is now available with a reputable nonprofit hospital. Regions Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center serving adults and children in Minnesota and western Wisconsin for more than 140 years.
With the support and resources of the Director of Pharmacy and Inpatient Pharmacy Manager, the Inpatient Pharmacist will work independently under minimal supervision and work cooperatively with health system and pharmacy staff. As a Pharmacist you will provide pharmaceutical services by reviewing medication orders, dispensing medications and related supplies, providing drug information to healthcare providers and overseeing the work of direct support personnel. You will be responsible for inpatient dispensing and IV preparation (prefer 1 year current experience) and occasional outpatient dispensing, and decentralized clinical services (prefer 3 or more years of current experience). The ideal candidate will have initiative, good triaging skills, and work with other pharmacists to continue developing this practice area/role. The shift will be 7 on/7 off providing a mix of centralized and decentralized activities. This includes medical emergency response in the hospital, supporting ICU and cross-cover clinicians with medication management, as well as supporting the emergency department with trauma, stroke, and arrest patients.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy degree or Doctor of Pharmacy degree
Experience:
Currently working in inpatient dispensing and IV preparation, with preference given to at least 1 year of experience
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
Currently licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of Minnesota.
