JOB SUMMARY
The Pool Pharmacist ensures medication orders are safe and appropriate; that drugs are stored, prepared, and delivered to patient care areas according to generally accepted professional standards; and collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other staff to ensure safe and effective administration and monitoring of medications. Also ensures compliance with relevant state and federal laws and regulations, The Joint Commission medication management standards, and Grady Health System (GHS) policies and procedures.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
* Graduate from an accredited school of pharmacy is required
* Pharmacist license or license eligible (must obtain within 120 days of employment) in the State of Georgia is required
* Previous hospital pharrmacy experience is preferred
* Completion of PGY-1 residency is preferred
