Description
Our Pharmaceutical client is looking for a hybrid contract to hire Project Manager in Bridgewater, NJ. You will be responsible for managing the planning each project (from Entry into Development to Life Cycle Management) under your responsibility ensuring proactive support from the Project Head, Global Project Manager and Global Project Team. For each of your projects, you will lead and coordinate operational planning actors to ensure alignment between project and operational plans. You will also participate in the management and evolution of the planning toolsets: templates, processes, and tools.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage the planning of each project they are assigned from the R&D portfolio in the Planisware planning system.
  • Reflect the project strategy based on the discussions with the Global Project Manager, Global Project Team and on governance decisions, including prioritization.
  • Actively participate in project team meetings and present project plan.
  • Analyze the project timelines and ensure optimal critical path Alert the project team on any planning issues and provide guidance on project planning optimization.
  • Develop scenario and provide recommendation for optimization.
  • Lead the planning team to align project and operational planning with the project strategy.
  • Collaborate efficiently with all operational planning actors to ensure consistency between the project plan and the operational plans.
  • Monitor the progress, the deviation with their explanations and the associated action plan.
  • Ensure project planning variance analysis on a monthly basis.
  • Provide regular consolidate update/reporting to all project stakeholders, Project team, R&D governance, Committees and Working Groups.
  • Ensure consistency and high-quality production of data on the whole project plan to support portfolio management Participate in or lead any initiative delegated by the Strategic Planning Head, targeting the evolution of the project planning tool (including reporting & quality control), the establishment and the maintenance of processes as well as best practices and the definition and the maintenance of libraries of templates.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Business, Master in a Scientific degree or in Project Management for at least 5 years working in the pharmaceutical industry with understanding of research & development and project management/planning.
  • Planning software experience required (Planisware preferred)
  • 5 - 10 Years - Solid project management skills: planning, resources & costs management.
  • Solid knowledge of drug development process from Entry into Development through LCM and in-depth understanding of interconnections between all contributors to the project strategy at all stages of development.
  • Ability to understand databases and to quickly acquire proficiency with computer systems and new applications.
  • Team work and transversal collaboration, strong networking skills.
