Analytical Chemist (2nd shift) - Rocky Mount, NC

•Placement:24-month Contract

•Pay: $30+/hr. Pay based upon experience. Actalent Consultant Benefits, PTO, 6 Paid Holidays.

•Shift:2nd; Clock in at 3PM

Position Summary:

•Our client, a global bio-pharmaceutical organization in Eastern, NC is seeking a motivated Analytical Chemist to join their team.

•This individual would join the analytical services team and be responsible for analyzing pharmaceutical products utilizing a breadth of wet chemistry techniques as well as other analytical instrumentation.

•This role is specific to our Analytical Services team which is performing critical testing to help bring up new manufacturing equipment at the site.

•This team has a lot of technical SMEs; good people to learn from.

•Work more independently than the other teams, supports manufacturing but not always bound to business-as-usual releases.

•This is a long-term role on our Actalent Team, as this has been a multi-year long project since 2018 and the R3 project is set to be completed in 2025.

•This is a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical lab space. There has been a lot of investment in modernizing the lab space and how the workflows.

•There are 200+ individuals total in the chemistry lab running on a 24/7 schedule.

•Social distancing practices are in place and managers are on a rotating schedule to limit the amount of people on-site any given day.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.

•2+ years of experience with HPLC in a cGMP lab environment - HPLC is a must!

•Need to have done the whole process from start to finish.

•Strong understanding of cGMP documentation guidelines.

•Chromatographic software utilized is Empower - plus not a must.

Responsibilities:

•Day-to-day this individual will be performing wet chemistry techniques (pH, titration, viscosity, UV, appearance, etc.), as well as chromatographic methods (HPLC/UPLC) on sterile injectables.

•The team will work in tandem with project engineering and manufacturing teams to provide feedback on outcomes related to the products.

•Other instrumentation and methods will be added in throughout assignment duration pending business need and incoming chemistry expertise.

•Variety in the work day-to-day as this group is almost like the contract lab for the site.
