This position is Per Diem (2 - 20 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 8:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 556 Arbor Hill Road, Kernersville, NC 27284.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Designated activities related to miscellaneous warehouse duties as required which may include cleaning and maintenance of infusion control devices, managing and disposing of hazardous waste, and general warehouse labor
  • Delivery and pick - up of patient orders for medications, supplies and equipment in a safe, accurate, courteous, effective, and timely manner.

  • Handle medication / supply deliveries for the Infusion Pharmacy to cover the branch service area
  • Accepts add - on deliveries required to meet business needs
  • Clean and inspect company vehicle to ensure proper presentation and cleanliness when arriving at the patients' homes. Performs daily vehicle inspection and maintains vehicle in clean and proper working order per organization policy and procedure. Informs supervisor of any mechanical problems
  • Coordinate paperwork and payment details with the patients
  • Communicate with the Branch or Pharmacy Manager / Pharmacy Lead regarding all patient questions and / or issues; prepare driver's notes as needed
  • Provide backup warehouse functions when required (e.g., emptying trash, building boxes, cleaning returned equipment)
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of the branch's geographic area and be able to assess the best routes according to the delivery schedule
  • Adhere to all HIPAA and confidentiality codes of ethics
  • Perform pick - up of supplies and equipment at completion of patient therapy and completes appropriate paperwork for returned patient goods
  • Perform various warehousing duties such as shipping, receiving, picking, and packing orders and general warehouse organization and cleaning in accordance with established procedures

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • Valid Driver's license and Valid Insurance
  • Ability to travel up to 100% of the time
  • Ability to work flexible hours between 8am - 8pm Monday - Friday. (A typical work week will consist of working 2 - 20 hours a week) Friday availability
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ months Delivery experience
  • 6+ months Patient care experience

Physical and Work Environment:

  • Ability to drive during inclement weather
