BASIC SUMMARY: 

  • Responsible for assessing change management needs and implementing plans to ease the organization through various changes for small to medium projects. Participate in the effort to implement a change management methodology for IT.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop a change management strategy for projects based on a situational awareness of the details of the change and the groups being impacted by the change.
  • Identify potential people-side risks and anticipated points of resistance, and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns.
  • Conduct readiness assessments, evaluate results and present findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner.
  • Develop a set of actionable and targeted change management plans – including communication plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan and resistance management plan.
  • Work with project teams to integrate change management activities into the overall project plan.
  • Support the execution of plans by working closely with the core project teams and associated business stakeholders.
  • Provide coaching to business and IT stakeholders who are change sponsors.
  • Identify resistance and performance gaps, and work to develop and implement corrective actions.
  • Track, report and manage change management related issues for the project.
  • Create and manage measurement mechanisms to track adoption, utilization and proficiency related users impacted by change due to implementation of application or system.
  • Mentor and train the IT organization and project teams on organizational change management and our change management methodology.
  • Participate in implementing a change management methodology for IT.
  • Integrate change management methodology deliverables into the IT PLC2 (project life cycle).
  • Participates in multiple OCM projects and initiatives.
  • Delivers progress reports on organizational change management efforts for assigned projects.
  • Responsible for implementing training strategy for the IT organization that includes basic IT training and targeted role based training.
  • Responsible for identifying and communicating relevant training opportunities for the IT organization working closely with IT Resource Managers.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of our existing IT communication processes.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

     

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in computer science, organizational behavior, business administration or related discipline. 
  • Experience:  Minimum of five years related experience in OCM and/or Project Management.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
  • Certification/Licensure: Organizational Change Management Certification preferred.
  • Other:  Strong leadership and interpersonal skills including collaboration, influencing, aligning, and active listening. Effective communication skills.   

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must regularly operate a computer and occasionally operate other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Must regularly communicate with employees/customers; must be able to exchange accurate information.
  • Must occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc

     

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • General office working conditions; the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

     

    Comments:

  • This position requires regular domestic and international travel.
