Position Summary

The Morehouse School of Medicine ( MSM ) seeks an experienced health informaticist for Department of Public Health Education. Scholarly activity is expected. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience. However, our preference is to hire at the Assistant/Associate Professor faculty rank.

Th incumbent is responsible teaching courses as well as planning, administering, and managing the Master of Science in Health Informatics ( MSHI ) Program. The Associate Professor and Director of the Online MSHI Program will closely monitor student recruitment, student tracking, student advisement, curriculum development, faculty evaluation, and day-to-day operations of the Online MSHI program, including external partnership development.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must hold a doctoral degree from a regionally accredited college or university. A minimum of three years research and teaching experience with at least one year of experience in graduate course management is required.

Preferred Qualifications

PC skills and knowledge of specified software, including two years experience using computers and various software packages, i.e. Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, SmartSheet, etc.
