PharMerica Bensenville is recruiting a Full Time Nurse Consultant to join our team.


The NCS Nurse Consultant advises organization on matters related to nursing responsibilities, activities, and other health services, specifically focusing on the responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurse /Licensed Vocational Nurse.


Essential Functions:

  • Analyzes and gives suggestions or recommendations on proper nursing and administrative methodologies.
  • Develops nursing curricula for organization, and publishes manuals and educational materials, as well as plan and guide educational programs.
  • Sets guidelines and proper training for efficient handling and managing of tasks by nursing and healthcare personnel.
  • Meets with nursing associations to discuss changes in principles, work ethics and other matters concerning nursing issues.
  • Able to guide and lead others.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.
  • Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • LPN licensure required; RN preferred
  • 1+ years experience in LTC Pharmacy or LTC facility
  • Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred
  • Knowledge and proficiency with EMR’s
  • State drivers license and unrestricted LPN license in good standing
  • Excellent customer service and verbal/written Communication skills
  • Must be willing to travel 100%
  • Must be able to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail with proficient planning/organizing.
